Roads & Sideways

We have re-engineered Road Construction techniques  by the study of road traffic, stone thickness, road alignment, and slope gradients. We pride ourselves compact design, and covered with smaller stones to produce a solid layer using asphalt and/or concrete.

Very broadly,  in all our road construction projects we go through three construction processes:

Setting out.
Earthworks.
Paving construction.

Our techniques tend to lower construction and maintenance costs, and give longer design life and higher flexural strength.

Sustainable Urban & Rural drainage systems

Drainage channeling and  is the artificial removal of water, both surface and sub-surface. Drainage is often a major element of civil engineering and construction projects and is necessary to avoid flooding and other damage.

Typically, effluent is conveyed by drains to sewers, and from sewers to a suitable outfall or treatment plant. Our expertise extend to:

Generally involves the use of pipes that are porous to allow subsoil water to pass through the pipe body, or pipes that are perforated with a series of holes in the lower half to allow subsoil water to rise into the pipe

Building and Infrastructure

We have involved our selves in the construction of shelter and infrastructure for over a decade now and we are constantly looking to develop under privileged communities to provide them with modern, safest and most basic human need. Here construction typically takes place on location for a known client we involve ourselves with quality selection of building products and systems which are aimed primarily  addressing groups of building types and markets. We have a high organised design process for buildings drawn upon research establishments that study material properties and performance, code officials who adopt and enforce safety standards, and design professionals who determine user needs and design a building to meet those needs. The construction process is also highly organized; it includes the manufacturers of building products and systems, the craftsmen who assemble them on the building site, the contractors who employ and coordinate the work of the craftsmen, and consultants who specialize in such aspects as construction management, quality control, and insurance.

Reservoir Construction

There are two basic types of reservoir to which our services extend:

Open impounding reservoirs are for the catchment of ‘crude’ water.
Service reservoirs are used in water distribution and should be enclosed for protection.

We construct reservoirs using a range of materials such as rock, earth, concrete or composites, depending on the reservoir size and earth type. Our construction of reservoirs and liquid-retaining tanks processes incorporate:

Floor construction so as to control and reduce shrinkage

Protective linings designed to resist corrosion, which can be made of glass, acid-resisting asphalt, wax, lead, and other soft metals.

Waterproofing
Common types of waterproofing that we use include:

Asphalt.
Plastic sheeting.
Paints.
Renderings which contain a waterproofing additive.
Geomembranes such as high and low-density polyethylene, Butyl, EPDM, PVC, and synthetic rubbers.

Bridge

Our thrust is to construct new bridges and maintain current ones to give the communities an economic boost by eliminating the delays and inconviences caused by frequent openings of the current bridge and the absence of them in other cases: reduce traffic impact, facilitate building in congested areas, reduce overall construction schedules, and improve the long-term service life of structures. Building a bridge is a complex undertaking requiring knowledge and expertise. Hence there are several variables that come into play and that we look at when deciding which construction method to use and bridge type to build,  including engineering constraints, costs, and environmental impacts. We typically involve methods that use relatively discrete elements, like piles and girders, which are assembled piece by piece.

The need to move water has always presented a logistical challenge for civilisation. Since time past from the the inception of Oleance Civils we have strived towards development of engineered solutions to transport water to towns and cities further to growth-points and farmlands to propagate the nearest plentiful water source from great distances. We herald a national water grid as a solution in to water transfer. Transfers and interconnections can operate over a range of distancesand some times involve large scale infrastructure and sometime small scale. The good news is we are up to the tasks:
